In Central East Austin, there is a new development project unfolding, designed and fulfilled by the design experts at Storybuild. George, a residential development project, offers 80 uniquely-designed townhomes, along with 36 single-family homes, varying in floor plans. George's common areas have a lot to offer, including a pool, green space, and ample parking. This new residential project will be located on EM Franklin, between MLK and Manor, within walking distance of Apple and the new Tesla Factory. From Storybuilt's website, "80 townhomes and 36 single family homes with a variety of floor plans. Pool. Parking. Greenspace. Brand new and beautiful in Central East Austin – EM Franklin between MLK and Manor".
This project was curated by Storybuilt, a design/development group that has a unique taste for architecture and building design. From the Storybuilt website, "StoryBuilt design works entirely in house. That gives us eyes on a project from land acquisition onward – we know the land, the neighborhood, and the community. Site, building, and interiors combine in our work to create one cohesive story. Beautifully". Storybuilt has residential and mixed-use projects in Austin, Dallas, Denver, and Seattle, all upward trending cities in the US. The George design team consisted of Dan Sokolosky, the Senior Vice-President of Architecture, Josh Lamden, Elizabeth Avila, and Olivia Cepaite.
An excerpt from the Storybuilt website describing their team, "StoryBuilt’s Design Team is home to our engineers, architects, and interior designers. We are the people who craft the vision for all StoryBuilt communities across the country. There is no project too large or too complicated for our designers to tackle. Our passion and expertise combine to create communities in challenging urban infill sites. As a central resource, we are able to wrap original vision into a cohesive story between the site, buildings, and interiors". In a concise, professional manner, Storybuilt describes how they're bringing about a sense of community to urban infill sites, hence the George development.
This expertly designed residential project emphasizes community, providing high-quality common area elements, bringing the residents of the East-Austin development together. This project implements ample amounts of green space and eco-friendly features, inclusive of pets, putting an emphasis on sustainability. Sustainable design practices, such as George, highly contribute to a healthier and more resilient community. Storybuilt follows this sustainable model for all of their developments.
George showcases a level of architectural innovation, stemming from the expertise of the design team, lead by Schuyler Costello, the Design Director of Storybuilt. The design team for George implemented varying types of residences, including townhomes and single-family residences. These properties have varying floor plans, highlighting thoughtful design elements, making these properties truly unique.
Within the past few years, East Austin has been on the rise in terms of housing and businesses. George will serve as one of the catalysts for positive change in this growing East community, bringing economic growth, job creation, and increased property values. I believe that George will be one of many residential development projects within the coming years that will transform East Austin for the better.
